
Climber, diver, intrepid adventurer and award winning photographer Jonathan Kingston brings true creativity and passion to the world of image making. His enthusiasm for finding the right situation and subjects to photograph has taken him all over the world.Jonathan received his first degree from Virginia Tech in the field of Mass Communications and his second from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Commercial Photography. The talent he
possesses
spans the full spectrum of
the world of photography from the covers of books and magazines to recognition in elite photographic competitions. Some of his accomplishments include: Communication Arts and PDN’s Photo Annual competitions, Times Journal of Photography, Oceans Eleven book cover, Innocent Eye book cover, and Shutterbug Magazine.Jonathan has worked with Adobe Photoshop since 1992 and has been teaching photography for several years. He spent two of those years instructing at India’s first college dedicated solely to photography. On his way back to the United States he decided to take a detour and spent 100 days sailing around the world. In between assignments since his return home, Kingston has been acting as a consultant to National Geographic photographers Richard A. Cooke III and Dewitt Jones on issues including digital workflow, file management and Adobe Photoshop. Jonathan currently has two places he likes to call home, one is in Virginia and the other is in Molokai, Hawaii.
